Planning Commission present: Harold Badger (Chair), Sally Jackson (Vice Chair), Scott Frederick, Rick Offerson, Peggy Vogt (Secretary)
Staff: David Martin, Zoning Administrator
The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
It was noted that all Planning Commissioners were present.
Agenda: A motion was made by Frederick; seconded by Offerson, to accept the agenda as presented. Motion passed unanimously.
Minutes: A motion was made by Offerson; seconded by Jackson, to approve the minutes of the January 6, 2022, meeting as presented. Motion passed unanimously.
Public Comments: None
Correspondence: None
Reports: (1) Frederick reported on the recent Road Committee meeting he attended. The money for road improvement for Sheridan Township from the solar project is on hold. It is possible that the State will allocate a portion of that money toward utility costs. The Road Commission is not able at this time to provide funds to match the Township contribution. This is all undecided at this time. (2) At the last township meeting, board members passed a motion re: the use of partial property owned by the Ascension Church on 29 Mile Road as a cemetery.
Zoning Administrator: Martin provided information dated 4/6/22 on permits issued.* He reported he is working on bringing permit lists and inspections up-to-date. He has worked on complaints and reported on some open items. Planning Commissioners thanked him for his work on these matters.
Zoning Board of Appeals: Nothing to report.
New Business: (1) Election of officers: Jackson made a motion to retain the current Planning Commission officers; seconded by Frederick. Motion passed unanimously. (2) The meeting schedule for Planning Commission from 4/7/22 through 2/2/23 was presented.* A motion was made by Vogt; seconded by Jackson, to accept the schedule as presented. Motion passed unanimously.
Unfinished Business: No updates on the Master Plan (including maps) or Zoning Ordinance revisions proposed. They are currently with Carlisle-Wortman Associates.
Adjournment: Meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
